The Moy Family Association has been in Washington for over fifty years, having been established as a nonprofit corporation under D.C. law in 1967. Since its formation, it has been operated informally and simply, under its basic charter, its Articles of Incorporation filed with the D.C. government. In the past several years, however, the Association has been working to revitalize itself and to operate with more formality, especially under the requirements of the new D.C. nonprofit corporation law that became effective in 2012.
